Well, the work day is almost over. Getting ready to head back to Independence. I did buy a Tom Tom unit over here in Monett with my saved money. I bought it over here because sales tax is a bit cheaper. I saw a lot of Jack Henry (my previous employer) people at Wal-mart today, including one of my best friends, Dan Moots who is also a writer.

It was nice to see them again, however it wasn't so nice to know that the absolutely terrible job that I used to have has now turned into a nice and easy slow paced job. I used to get 15+ calls a day that would take about 2-3 hours each and would be on call every 3rd day. I was (obviously) consistently way behind and that doesn't count the dreaded "pager duty" where I'd get probably 3-4 calls a night from 10:00 - 3:00 on average. On a bad night, I work work all day and go home and work all night too. I would have pager duty once or twice a week and an entire weekend about every 2 months. It was not fun. Luckily those days are behind me.

Maybe I'll use Tom Tom to get me home.
