I've always found it funny when a married couple that are having problems decide to have a baby to "get closer".

Here's a report showing a decrease in martial satisfaction after children. Now as they note:

Children don't ruin everything, Stanley points out.

"There are different types of happiness in life and that while some luster may be off marital happiness for at least a time during this period of life, there is a whole dimension of family happiness and contentment based on the family that couples are building," he said. "This type of happiness can be powerful and positive but it has not been the focus of research."

All I've got to say is "you will get comfortable with bodily fluids of all kinds and a lot of them at the same time". 'Nuff said.

Children are fun though. It's just better to have a strong marriage before you start having them (in my opinion).
