Last night the school called and they were having trouble connecting a teacher's home computer to the network. They are having to do testing with computers for Kansas but they don't have enough computers.
I walked in and the computer was setup for a static IP and DNS. I was thinking this would be easy. The computer would ping other computers but other computers couldn't ping it. 4 hours later I finally tracked the problem down to a corrupted install of Norton Internet Security. Apparently an issue in the proxy and/or firewall.
I may have mentioned this before but I REALLY dislike working on computers.
