stuff.

Well I am still employed however I'm still trying to figure out if that is good or bad news.

Big congrats to Lindsay Young who is graduating from PSU with a MBA! That a lot of work and a huge time commitment. Feel free to ask her random business questions because she's the expert now.

Probably the most overhyped product since Cuil is coming. What is Cuil? They defined it as the "Google killer". As you can tell by the fact that you haven't heard of it, it really wasn't that successful. Anywho.. The new product is going to be Wolfram Alpha and it's supposed to be coming in May sometime. It going to be different from search engines in that you ask it a question and instead of giving you relevent web pages, it will give you the answer. I'm going to ask it "What is my name?".

I helped a student here yesterday change his tire (he hadn't changed a tire before). Looked pretty good to me and I offered to air it up for him until he could get home but he insisted that he needed it changed. His car, his call. No one was killed and we got the new tire on. I have no tire skills. That got me to thinking about my lack of other skills. First some history... About two years ago, I decided that I wanted to try to build a guitar (at this point you already know the rest of the story). I bought a book on it and started in. Cut out the body, Sanded it a bit and finished it. So I showed it to my father-in-law and he said "that's a start anyway". Start??? Forget that noise, it's finished! So I figured out the trick. Apparently you have to sand and sand and sand and sand. At some point during the sanding process, a leprechaun pops out of the wood and says "you are finished". Apparently I didn't sand enough because the only leprechaun I heard was the insane one that talks to me and tells me to "build your own guitar, buy a sailboat, etc...". I have a lot of issues with that leprechaun and he better hope I never get my hands on him.

That reminds me... I need to call Bill Filsinger (I'm talking Carpentry and not leprechaun) this weekend and tell him that Miranda has OK'ed the new desk that he is going to build me. He built my wife's "Hope Chest" and it is great looking. In fact the home buyers saw it and wanted it as part of the house and he's a Master Carpenter (the buyer I'm talking about although Bill is too)! I believe it's called a "Hope Chest" because the female "hopes" they get married. Miranda now refers to it as her "Why did I bother? Chest".
