Joel Douglas

Joel Douglas just called me.  I hadn't heard from him in a long time and it was great to hear from him.  When I picked up the phone there was someone chattering in some language.  He was speaking in Cherokee.  The tapes are on the way to Vinita right now.  Funny story about him that I hope he doesn't mind me telling.  He drove a Cadillac and slouched way down in the seat.  Now Joel is a BIG guy, was in the Special Forces in Vietnam, and a brown belt in Karate.  He was driving his mom around, slouched way down in the seat and some punks started hassling him and following him real closely.  He decided to have some fun with them and when he pulled up to his destination, he jumped out of the car real fast and yelled at them "WHAT DO YOU WANT".  They couldn't get out of there fast enough.  I'm grinning just sitting here thinking about it.  

He has retired and out of computers (lucky guy!).  Great to hear from you Joel.
